Cheese Danish Cups

Light and airy puff pastry cups are filled with a sweetened cream cheese mixture and baked to perfection. Top them with your favorite fruit for a dessert that’s simply delicious.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 orange
  • 2/3 of an 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 package (9.5 ounces) Puff Pastry Cups, prepared according to package directions

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.  Grate 1 teaspoon zest from the orange.

  2. Stir the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and orange zest in a small bowl.  Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the pastry cups. Place the filled pastry cups onto a baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 8 minutes or until the filling is set.  Let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.  Garnish with fresh fruit, if desired.

  4. Make Ahead Tip: The filled pastry cups can be refrigerated up to 2 hours before serving.
