Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate pieces(about 1 cup)
  • 6 tablespoons butter(3/4 stick)
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1 package (10 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Shells, prepared according to package directions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Place the chocolate and butter in a 1-quart saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the chocolate softens, stirring until the mixture is smooth.

  2. Place a scoop of ice cream in each pastry shell. Spoon the warm chocolate mixture over the ice cream and sprinkle with the nuts. (The chocolate mixture will harden as it cools, making a chocolate shell.)

  3. Alternate Preparation: To microwave the chocolate sauce, place the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chocolate the softens. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
